LaDonna Intro to the BLOG world

     Hello to the Blog World.  My name is LaDonna Conner and I' attend Eastern Michigan University where I'm majoring in Social Work.  I have a great passion for helping people in many aspects.  I believe that Social Work is a field that selects you, you don't select it. All of my life I have always been the person that people would come to for answers, advice or just can I help them with something.  I've learned over the years to stop volunteering so much to the same people I’m starting to feel USED!  But, seriously Eastern has a Mission which states,

Eastern Michigan University Social Work Program is committed to the empowerment of poor, oppressed, vulnerable, and underserved population; the creation of social welfare policy based on the strengths perspective; the advancement community problem-solving; and leadership in organizations and communities. I am this person who really believes in help the underserved population who is oppressed and vulnerable.  Helping to give empowerment to the financial unstable, I don’t select to use the word “poor”, that’s a state of mind.  So my blog will be focusing on Incarcerated Transgender.
